Stand eye to eye with a moose, learn about the development of deer antlers, or pet a hare. The Museum of Nature and Hunting in Turzyn presents exhibits showcasing the nature of our region, as well as hunting traditions and culture.
The museum features an impressive spatial diorama depicting animals and plants in a field, forest and wetland environments. It presents a range of species of wild animals and birds of Pomerania and Kuyavia, from the humble Striped Field Mouse (Apodemus agrarius) to the majestic, largest representatives of their families – the white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) and the Eurasian moose (Alces alces). The multimedia show allows you to experience the voices and learn about behavior of various species.
The exhibition hall houses permanent and temporary exhibits presenting the natural history and hunting collections. The hunting exhibition tells the story of the the hunting culture and tradition in Poland, and features tools and accessories, memorabilia and literature. The natural history exhibits allow to get up close to and learn about the life and development of our animal species, e.g. see the development cycle of deer antlers or to stroke hare's fur. The exhibition is complemented by nature photography and graphics, as well as philatelic collections.
